Hello all! Conduit here with the final financial wrap up for the zine. Now that tax season has come and gone, I’m able to provide a final donation amount that will be going to the Crisis Text Line.

Our final allocation was $220 for shipping assistance and Community Fund copies! This ensured that many people who wouldn’t have been able to afford a zine, even if they donated prior, were able to get their copies.

In transparency, there was a snafu with our mailing subscription (Stamps) that provided incorrect customs information when printing some international labels, and we did have to rectify those issues using some of the funds. We did submit a ticket and apply for a refund through Stamps, but we are still waiting for a resolution. It cost around $45 to reprint those labels and mail any returned zines. If we manage to get that money back, it will go into another donation to CTL, as well as some additional withheld funds (read on to learn more).

After filing 2023 taxes, here’s where we stand.

• We collected $1477 during 2023 between shipping costs and zine pre-orders.

• Taxes came out to $295. With deductions for our supplies, our total owed was $226, which we withdrew in late March.

• We paid $21.38 to Stamps afterwards to fix one of the int’l labels, leaving our balance at just over $300.

• We are still waiting to hear back from two people to be sure their zines arrive without customs issues. Thus, we are withholding $21.38 x2 = 42.76 until we get the all-clear.

But what does this mean? It means our primary donation amount is $250 to the Crisis Text Line on behalf of the Worship project! We completed the donation on April 21.

This also means that going forward, we are no longer accepting financial aid requests for shipping. Anyone who still has not gotten their zine(s) that wants them needs to fill out this form (USA) or this form (Int’l) and we will email you your shipping estimate. To give you a rough estimate, US Media Mail is $4.13, and international packages range from $18 to $43 depending on the country and # of zines. Please read the instructions carefully when filling out those forms. This is for people who already preordered the zines over the last year, not new customers. If more become available down the line, you will hear from us.

We will keep shipping out zines as long as the request is still there.
